$235,000 Lump Sum Settlement for Berks County Factory Worker.
Pearson Koutcher Law partner Jonathan Koutcher settled the case of a Berks County factory worker for $235,000. The injured worker had two fingers on his hand cut off when a machine malfunctioned. The injured worker had minimal use of his hand thereafter as a result of severe pain, and in addition the injured worker developed arm and shoulder pain. Mr. Koutcher filed a petition to expand the injuries of the injured worker to maximize the recovery of the injured worker, as the insurance company had argued that the injured worker was only entitled to specific loss benefits for the amputated fingers. Mr. Koutcher significantly increased the amount of compensation for the injured worker, obtaining more than six (6) years of wage loss benefits for the injured worker.
