$90,800 Lump Sum Settlement for injured Montgomery County Office Assistant
A Montgomery County woman who worked as an office assistant for a car dealership fell down the stairs, injuring her leg, shoulder and head. The injured worker started receiving worker’s compensation benefits and retained Jonathan Koutcher of Pearson Koutcher Law to represent her interests. The worker’s compensation insurance company referred the injured worker for light duty employment which the injured worker could not perform as a result of her injuries. The insurance company for the employer started litigation against the injured worker, alleging the injured worker could perform light duty and as result wage loss benefits should be reduced or stopped. Mr. Koutcher defended the petitions and during litigation was able to negotiate a settlement for $90,800.
