$112,000 Lump Sum Settlement for Philadelphia Cooking School Instructor.
This injured worker sustained an injury to his left shoulder and began to receive workers’ compensation benefits. The injured worker was represented by Philadelphia workers compensation lawyer Eric Pearson of Pearson Koutcher, LLP. Mr. Pearson filed a Petition to Review Compensation Benefits because the injured worker had an additional job during the summer as a summer camp chef at the time of the work accident. This petition was filed after the workers compensation insurance company filed a Petition to Suspend alleging the injured worker had post injury earnings. After months of litigation, Mr. Pearson was able to settle the case for $112,000, which represented three (3) years of wage loss benefits.
