Pearson Koutcher Gives Back to the Community!

Once again this year, Pearson Koutcher Law, in collaboration with Philadelphia Bar Association’s Workers Compensation Section, participated in serving a holiday luncheon held for 250 men in need and staff members at Saint John’s Hospice. Attorneys, Laura Brooke and Mindy Levin, of Pearson Koutcher Law were part of this year’s group of volunteers to serve. Both were able to help serve a delicious meal of ham, meatballs, pasta, salad, sweet potatoes, green beans, with dessert and drinks.

“It was a fun and rewarding way to spend a few hours out of the office helping out those less fortunate. The men were very friendly, appreciative, polite and thankful. In addition to volunteering, The Workers Compensation Section was able to make a donation of over $5,000!

Located in the Center City section of Philadelphia, Saint John’s Hospice has been serving and assisting less fortunate and homeless men since 1963. For more than 50 years, Saint John’s has continued to aid homeless men with crucial, life-sustaining services in a dignified, respectful and compassionate way. Other than serving hot meals, Saint John’s also provides a wide array of additional services such as clean clothing, showers, medical assistance, counseling and mail services.

Saint John’s Hospice takes pride in going “beyond meeting basic and physical needs. We strive to provide the dignity and respect that offers each of our guests the strength to break the cycle of homelessness.” All which is made possible by generous donations and volunteers.
