$170,000 Lump Sum Settlement for Injured Union Laborer.
An injured laborer settled his worker’s compensation case for the sum of $170,000, representing more than six (6) years of wage loss benefits. The injured worker was represented by Philadelphia worker’s compensation attorney Jonathan Koutcher of Pearson Koutcher Law. The injured worker sustained groin and hip injuries. The injured underwent surgical procedures and could not return to his job. The worker’s compensation insurance company filed a Petition to Modify Compensation Benefits, based upon a Labor Market Survey and Earning Power Assessment. The worker’s compensation insurance company alleged that work was generally available within the injured worker’s physical and vocational abilities. Mr. Koutcher defended this Petition, and after attending multiple Mediation sessions, the case was able to settle for $170,000.

Because every case, injury and situation is different, we work around the clock at Pearson Koutcher Law to provide unique, individualized attention to every client to achieve the same maximum results we would expect for our family and friends. However, a particular result, even in a similar circumstance is never guaranteed and should not be indicator of what you should expect in a settlement on your case.
