Loss Benefits

Wage-Loss Benefits

Whether you are unable to work for a period of time (“temporary total disability”) or are unable to return to a position or job at the same income level earned pre-injury (“partial disability”), you are entitled to your lost wages. Wage-Loss Benefits are usually two-thirds of your average weekly pay, subject to weekly maximums.

Specific Loss Benefits

If you have experienced permanent injuries as a result of an on-the-job work related accident or hazardous condition, such as disfigurement of the face, head or neck ; amputation of hands, fingers, or limbs; or loss of sight, hearing or other bodily parts or functions , you may be entitled to Specific Loss Benefits. The amount of a specific loss benefits award is calculated in accordance with the tables outlined in the Pennsylvania Workers’ Compensation Act and is not dependent upon whether or not you missed work, or for how long, after your workplace injury. Even if you have returned to work and no longer experience a wage loss you still may be entitled to a specific loss.
