Jonathan B. Koutcher, founding partner of Pearson Koutcher Law, settled the case of an injured retail store manager with a knee and shoulder injury. The injured worker had shoulder surgery and knee surgery. One of the issues in the case was whether a subsequent surgical procedure for the knee was related to the work accident. In addition, the employer alleged the that the injured worker had fully recovered from the injuries originally accepted as work related. The parties mediated this case on a number of occasions and were able to settle the case for the lump sum of $210,000, representing more than four (4) years of wage loss benefits.
