A Delaware County flight attendant suffered head and neck injuries while working during a flight. The plane was very bumpy due to turbulence, and the flight attendant was tossed about the plane resulting in neck and head injuries. The Workers’ Compensation insurance company initially accepted injuries only to the head in the nature of a contusion. Mr. Koutcher filed a petition to review compensation benefits so the neck injury would be accepted as work related and the head contusion diagnosis would be more accurately described. After multiple rounds of negotiations, the injured worker was able to settle for a lump sum of money, the amount of which is confidential.
