An injured Union stone mason from Philadelphia was severely injured when a drill he was operating malfunctioned. The injured worker sustained head, neck shoulder and back injuries and underwent multiple surgical procedures. The workers’ compensation insurance company instituted litigation to try to reduce the amount of the injured worker’s wage loss benefits through a labor market survey and earning power assessment. The injured worker was defended by Philadelphia Workers’ Compensation attorney Jonathan Koutcher. The settlement amount represents more than 5 years of wage loss benefits.
