Workers’ Compensation Settlements From Our Partners

$325,000 Lump Sum Workmans Comp Settlement for Electrical Foreman
$325,000 lump sum settlement for a 45-year-old electrical foreman who slipped and fell during a winter storm state of emergency. In addition to sustaining closed head trauma, he also sustained disc damage in his neck that required cervical surgery. The client’s claim was initially denied, but, shortly after Philadelphia workers’ comp firm, Pearson Koutcher Law, got involved, the workers’ compensation insurance carrier accepted the claim and started paying wage loss and medical benefits. The resolution came as a result of a voluntary mediation.
$235,500 Lump Sum Settlement for Injured Montgomery County Worker
Pearson Koutcher Law settled the case of a Montgomery County Plant Operator who injured multiple body parts including his shoulder, low back and neck after a car rear-ended him at a stop sign. Once the injured worker’s employer filed a termination petition claiming he had fully recovered from his injuries, Pearson Koutcher filed a review petition to expand the description of injury and, then, continued to fight to earn a higher lump sum settlement with open medical for certain injuries.
$155,000 Lump Sum Settlement for Lehigh County Truck Driver
Philadelphia workers comp firm, Pearson Koutcher Law, settled the case of a Lehigh County Truck driver who hurt multiple body parts driving, loading and unloading a work truck. During litigation, Pearson Koutcher filed a review petition to amend the description of injury to include more injuries resulting in a higher lump sum settlement and more paid medical treatment taking the burden of medical bills away from the claimant. The case settled for a lump sum of $155k representing 3 years of benefits and defendant paid for all medical treatment.
141,000 Lump Sum Settlement for Carpenter in Lehigh County
Pearson Koutcher Law settled the case of a Carpenter who sustained traumatic plantar fasciitis and traumatic arthropathy when his foot got caught in a ladder. Following the injury, the Employer only accepted responsibility for a sprained ankle. The claimant worked for his employer in Lehigh County for over 14 years. His job required him to stand, walk, push, pull, climb ladders and lift drywall in excess of 100 lbs. After his Employer tried to allege that he was fully recovered from the injury, Pearson Koutcher filed a Petition to amend the description of injury to include all the injuries Claimant sustained. Through mediation, Pearson Koutcher negotiated a favorable settlement of $141,000 for the injured worker with no need for additional medical treatment.

What To Do After A Work Injury?

  1. Immediately report your injury or work-related illness to your employer or supervisor. Tell them you were hurt on the job as well as the date and location of the injury.

  2. Seek medical attention. You may need to see your employer’s doctor, which depends on if your employer maintains a panel physician list. Ask if your employer has such a list and, if they do, ask that it is provided to you immediately. If they do not have a list, you are free to treat with whichever doctor you choose.

  3. Know your rights. Contact the Philadelphia workers’ comp attorneys, at Pearson Koutcher Law and speak with a lawyer with expertise in workplace injury law.
